Adding stylish doors to your fireplace is one of the quickest and easiest ways to modernize its appearance and improve efficiency.
Our fireplace doors come in various styles to suit different decorative themes. However, the right choice will depend on the type of fireplace you have.
Prepare a tape measure, a pencil, and some paper. Follow these steps to get the correct measurements for your fireplace opening.
To measure your fireplace and choose the right door, you’ll need:
Write down each measurement as you go to ensure you have accurate references when placing your order.
Take the following measurements:
It’s essential that the measurements are as accurate as possible, since the opening may have slight deformations or architectural variations. Only we will apply the appropriate technical margins for thermal expansion, ensuring the door fits correctly and adapts to the material’s natural expansion during use.

As shown in the image below, you should draw a vertical line from the outermost part of the stones on each side at the base using a level or any 90º object (such as a board, tile, cardboard, etc.). This measurement should be taken at a depth of 35 mm, which is the thickness of the fireplace door frame and must sit flush with the exterior.

The distance between those two marks is A1.
Then measure the distance between the outermost edges of the stone, which are usually very straight. This will be measurement A2.
With these two measurements, we can determine the door size and the size of two trim pieces we will install on the sides to cover the irregularities of the stone.
Please send the measurements in written form. DO NOT SEND PHOTOS OF THE TAPE MEASURE.
